Happy New Year

Our first few days in Dubai have been a whirlwind. We woke up the first day to find out that Sheikh Mohammad had canceled New Year’s to show support for the Palestinians. We were worried that all our plans would be canceled, but thankfully, the edict just managed to affect the fireworks and some of the big name entertainment, also all New Year’s decorations had to be taken down and there was no official countdown, which made celebrating the official start of the New Year a little difficult.

Overall, we’re having a great time and probably spending WAY too much money. We promise to post more later, and check back daily for additional pictures in the Dubai album.
